The Revenant (2015) – IMDb

The Revenant is an arduous and emotional journey of a film. We experience the lows and the lower-than-lows of our protagonist and it is an immersive experience. It showcases two fine performances from both Leonardo Dicaprio and Tom Hardy against the backdrop of a gruesome winter in the wilderness. The film is shot almost entirely using only natural lighting and the results are breathtaking to behold. It also features some of the best cinematography of the year. This is filmmaking at it’s finest and I give it my highest recommendation of 5 out of 5 stars.
